BUILT in the 1960s, the rundown blocks are being replaced by modern homes – which resident Maggie Veal says have 'more of a community feel'
THE BULLDOZERS have finally moved in to rip down the last remaining three blocks on a deserted Holloway estate.
Tamworth and the last two Clocktower Place blocks on the Market Estate, Holloway, will be gone forever come the end of August, as the decaying 1960s blocks are replaced by a posh-looking new development called Parkside Place. Every resident of the notoriously run-down estate has now been rehoused in the shadow of the old towers, and though most are happy to see them go, there is also some sadness.
