RADIO RADIO RADIO 1278 AM TO ALL COMING TO THE SITE OVER THE NEXT WEEK: Bring your old, new, loved and unloved radios, let's fill the estate with sounds of Market Radio! We can't provide batteries, but there's love to go round! As part of the Market Estate Project we installed a temporary radio station called Market Radio. We broadcast live from our headquarters office 24 hours a day. Listen to our livestream or visit the radio website Alternatively you can listen to us on 1278 kHz AM, if you live close enough to the Estate.

The Market Radio

  The Market Radio http://www.marketestateproject.com/radio/about.html The Market Radio is a non-commercial, freeform and community supported radio, funded by the Arts Council. As a part of The Market Estate Project, Market Radio aims to be a creative playground for local community, the general public and the various artists involved into this project. We seek to echo positive aspects of the history of Market Estate and its surroundings; whilst encouraging a positive future outlook for this neighborhood. The radio will broadcast on air 1278 AM , in a range of 2 km from the Market Estate for a duration of 28 days, for 24 hours. Additionally, a live streaming audio will be available, together with a selection of podcasts, audio archives and a blog. Possibly, a CD with the best-of programs accompanying the Market Estate Project catalogue will be released. Jeff Hubbard, 53, of Hackney, east London, took the images for an exhibition by homeless charity Crisis. In one picture, William is shown with his hands in the pockets of his jeans, and close-up with his arms folded in front of his chest in another. The prince also took pictures of Mr Hubbard under the guidance of celebrity photographer Rankin. Anthony Bartram reports. This footage has been filmed by Crisis

Temporary Autonomous Zone - designing a flag for the Market Estate Project.

Temporary Autonomous Zone A Proposal Posted by admin on January 18th, 2010 The proposal put forward by the artwork Temporary Autonomous Zone is to design a flag for the Market Estate Project. This is intended to act as a focal point for political considerations around the project. All participants in the project are invited to get involved in the discussions around this design. This will begin with a workshop, followed by a party where all the artists involved in the project can meet each other, throughout the evening material will be available for everyone to put forward flag designs. Following on from this event the designs put forward will be developed further and everyone will have the opportunity to vote on what the final option will be. In the meantime please use this blog as an area to discuss these questions and put forward any initial ideas on the design of our flag. I therefore propose the flag
